many many parts at least one a year. I hated it cuz you would have rehersal and the CO would change what you say? My last part I remember feeling so fake because I didn't want to even be there...

Ever have a part on a convention or assembly?
by Frog ini played a role in a convention drama when i was 14. it was a really poxy modern day drama.
something about catching my bigger brother puffing on a cigarette lol.
i had to practice the part for months in a dogey american accents.

What Do You Value in your Life Now that you Exited the Witnesses ?

) and it seems as we were talking the thought came up that many of us when exiting the mind control of jehovah's witnesses we really come to appreciate the freedom to think how we want and be able to have access to other views which helps us to have a broader scope , or broader world view than just the tunnel vision of the wt society.

I have a touchy situation...could use some advice
by tenyearsafter ini just got an e-mail from my 80 year old mother asking my wife and i to join her for the memorial this year.
i really don't want to go, but i am also trying to maintain some degree of a relationship with her.
she is breaking the "rules" by not shunning me, but i don't know how she will react if i reject her invitation.

Why do some of you JW's stay in the organization?
by dgp ini have read that up to 67% of all jw's leave the religion when they come of age.
so i wish i could know why the others stay.
in your opinion, what keeps them in?

when i was the age people start to leave i became a pioneer and married young and JW was my entire life!!!! Didn't start to look out side the box until i hated my marriage and didn't want to spend forever with him.... It took years for me to truly know they are 100% wrong

What was your initial reaction to finding out the religion is a cult?
by make yourself inmine was filled with shock and anger but mostly anger.
it made me feel that way because i have never been lied to like that growing up in the religion with it being all you know.

took a while for me to think "cult" but now that is all i see and i want to get my loved ones out!!! I think my initial reaction was relief!!!! I KNEW they were wrong!!!
